HSMs (Hardware Security Modules)
The HSM PCIe card category includes hardware security modules designed for the secure generation, storage, and management of cryptographic keys directly within server infrastructure. The Thales Luna PCIe HSM A700, A750, and A790 models provide different levels of performance and capacity while maintaining a high level of protection for cryptographic operations. All devices in this category store cryptographic keys exclusively within tamper-resistant hardware and comply with internationally recognized security standards, including FIPS 140-2/140-3 Level 3 certification and Common Criteria EAL4+. Selected configurations also support deployment in environments requiring QSCD (Qualified Signature Creation Device) compliance. The A Series (password-based authentication) is particularly suitable for application integrations, development environments, testing infrastructures, and standalone deployments where hardware-based security is required without the need for external authentication devices. The HSM cards can be integrated using standard interfaces such as PKCS#11, Microsoft CNG/CAPI, and Java JCA/JCE. The solution assumes a basic understanding of cryptographic module administration and is not delivered as a fully managed service.
